The word "spa" comes from the acronym salus per aqua, 'healing through water'. According to the goddess Sulis, "water's magical properties are amplified when you infuse it with your prayers and intentions."
During your treatment, as your body and spirit is cleansed with the element water, I encourage the use of prayer, meditation, and full-body relaxation. You may also want to bring a small "goddess offering" to the sanctuary — a flower, stone, candle, etc., or place a written prayer in the Ananda Skin Spa Little Prayer Book.

Spa services are available by appointment only, Wednesday-Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. As appointments can book quickly, I recommend booking ahead in advance to reserve your desired appointment time.

I am committed to starting appointments on schedule. Please arrive to your appointment on time to enjoy the full length of services. Note that tardiness over fifteen minutes may count as a cancellation.
New facial clients should arrive ten minutes early to fill out an Ananda Holistic Skin Care Consultation Form.
24-hour cancellation policy
If you need to change or cancel an appointment, you must give 24 hours notice.
Less than 24 hours notice will result in a charge of 100% of the total service. To pay for a cancellation, you can
simply mail a check made to Ananda Skin Spa. An arrival more than 15 minutes past your scheduled appointment time is
considered a skipped appointment, and you may be charged in full for the service.
parking
There is usually ample free parking on the side streets, so please allow yourself a few minutes to park and walk a block or two.
There is often convenient metered parking in front.

Ananda Skin Spa & Sanctuary is located inside Dina’s Coiffures at:
4201 Park Boulevard (near Glenfield Avenue) in Oakland, CA 94602.
Enter Dina's and head towards the back stairs on your right. Come down the stairs at the time of your appointment—I'll be waiting for you inside the sanctuary.
The spa is accessible via public transportation with the AC Transit Bus #15. Ask the driver for the Glenview stop. Click on the map link below for driving directions.
